Mets' McNeil Has Hamstring Strain, Cardinals Win, Cubs Lose

The New York Mets placed Jeff McNeil on the 10-day injured list Wednesday due to what the team calls a "fairly mild" left hamstring strain.

McNeil suffered the strain while trying to beat out an infield grounder during Tuesday night's loss to the Atlanta Braves.


Phillies' Arrieta Has Bone Spur

Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Jake Arrieta has been placed on the injured list and will likely undergo surgery for a bone spur in his right elbow. The surgery would end Arrieta’s season.


Pirates' Taillon Undergoes Tommy John Surgery

Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon underwent Tommy John surgery on Tuesday and will miss the entire 2020 season. It’s the second time Taillon has undergone reconstructive surgery on his right elbow.


Giant's Sandoval On IL

The San Francisco Giants have placed infielder Pablo Sandoval on the 10-day injured list with right elbow inflammation. Sandoval recently underwent an MRI, but the severity of his injury isn't known.
