The New York Yankees extended their record for hitting the most home runs in one road ballpark Wednesday against the Baltimore Orioles. The Yankees blasted five more dingers in their 14-2 win at Camden Yards to bring their total to 43 on the season. Things were so bad for the Orioles, slugger Chris Davis had to be restrained from attacking manager Brandon Hyde during a brief exchange in the dugout.


Twins Turn Second Triple Play

The Minnesota Twins turned their second triple play in less than three weeks yesterday against the Atlanta Braves. If you’re wondering, the major league record for most triple plays in one season is three, with the 2016 Chicago White Sox the most recent team to do it.


Marlins Place Rojas On IL

The Miami Marlins placed shortstop Miguel Rojas on the 10-day injured list with a strained right hamstring. Rojas was injured in Tuesday night’s game when he stumbled over first base while trying to avoid a double play.


Red Sox, Orioles Meet Next Year in Little League Classic

Major League Baseball has announced that the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles will meet in next year’s Little League Classic in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. This year’s matchup will feature the Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates on August 18.
