The Boston Red Sox set a record Thursday night in their 19-3 win over the New York Yankees. The score was the Red Sox largest margin of victory over the Yankees in their 117-year rivalry.

Five-time All-Star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki has announced his retirement. Tulowitzki missed the entire 2018 season due to heel issues and appeared in just five games this season for the New York Yankees before landing on the injured list.

The New York Yankees have placed outfielder Brett Gardner on the 10-day injured list with left knee inflammation. Gardner hasn't played all this week, but has taken part in various pre-game workouts.
