Angels' Ramirez Suspended For Three Games

Los Angeles Angels pitcher Noé Ramirez has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount for throwing a pitch at the head of Houston outfielder Jake Marisnick. Angels’ manager Brad Ausmus was also suspended one game and fined and served the suspension yesterday, although Ramirez said he’ll appeal.


Phillies Hector Heris Suspended

Philadelphia Phillies closer Héctor Neris has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount for intentionally throwing a pitch at the head of David Freese of the Los Angeles Dodgers during Tuesday’s game. Neris then hit Freese in the back with the next pitch.

The Phillies have placed outfielder Jay Bruce on the 10-day injured list with a strained right oblique. Bruce was injured on a checked swing in the third inning of the Phillies' 9-8 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday night.


Royals' Fire Sale Continues

The Kansas City Royals’ fire sale continues as they sent outfielder Terrance Gore to the New York Yankees for $100,000. Gore will report to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
