Shelby Co. Legion Teams Go 3-1

In weekend action, Shelby County Posts 289-611-725 (Strasburg, Stewardson, Windsor) claimed three victories and suffered one loss.

In Saturday play, Shelby County blanked the Redbirds 16U, 11-0 in five innings. Shelby County led 2-0 after the first then had a four-run second, a two-run third and finished with three in the fourth. The winners had 11 hits in the game.

In a game against the Adidas Athletics 18U, Shelby County was a 9-0 winner behind 11 hits. Shelby County led 2-0 after the first then had a three-run third and scored two runs in the sixth and seventh.

In Sunday play, Shelby County claimed a 5-2 victory over the Chatham Redskins 17U.

Shelby County again took a big first inning lead with three runs then had single runs in the fourth and sixth.

Crawfordsville, Ind. then downed Shelby County, 11-0. Shelby County could muster only three hits and committed five errors.
