Yankees Place Stanton On Injured List

The New York Yankees have again placed Giancarlo Stanton on the 10-day injured list with a strained right knee, barely a week after coming off the IL.

Stanton has played only nine games this season and manager Aaron Boone said it's likely he’ll be sidelined for longer than 10 days.

Vanderbilt Wins College World Series

Vanderbilt beat Michigan 8-2 to win the College World Series. On their way to the title, Vanderbilt swept the Southeastern Conference regular-season and tournament titles, set the league record for wins, tied the record with 13 draft picks and lost back-to-back games just twice.
