Cardinals' Hicks To Undergo Tommy John Surgery

St. Louis Cardinals closer Jordan Hicks will undergo Tommy John surgery today.

Hicks was diagnosed with a torn ulnar collateral ligament on Monday after leaving Saturday's game against the visiting Angels in the ninth inning. Hicks will miss the rest of this season and likely part of the 2020 season.


Yankees Set Major League Record

The New York Yankees set a major league record Tuesday by hitting a home run in their 28th consecutive game.

DJ LeMahieu did the honors for the Yankees with a solo shot to lead off the bottom of the first against Toronto left-hander Clayton Richard. The Yankees broke the record set by the 2002 Texas Rangers.
