Effingham Jr. High Baseball Clinic July 16-18

The "Mustangs" Effingham Junior High Baseball Clinic, for boys entering grades fourth through eighth, will be held Tuesday, July 16 through Thursday, July 18.

The camp will be held at the Effingham Junior High Field and EHS and EJHS batting cages. Enrollment is $45 turned in with the camp application. If possible return by July 5 so sessions can be planned accordnig to size. However, registration will be allowed up to and on the first day of camp. Also online at Effingham Unit 40 website.

Times each day at from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Instructors will be EJHS Coach Rod Wiethop, Chase Green and Phil Hull.

Areas focused on will be base-running, teaching how to slide, bunting to hit, bunting to sacrifice and squeeze, infield play, outfield play, hitting in the cage, pitching: holding runners, proper mechanics, changeup, pick-off plays and game situations, the mental approach to hitting and the mental side of pitching and backing up throws and infield and outfield alignment.

I hereby authorize the staff of Effingham Junior High Baseball Clinic to act for me according to their best judgement in any emergency requiring medical attention and I hereby waive and release the Clinic from any and all liability for any injury or illness incurred while at camp. I have no knowledge of any physical impairment that would be affected by the named camper's participation in the camp program as outlined.
