White Sox' Employee Throws First Pitch, Hits Cameraman

The Chicago White Sox invited their Employee of the Month to throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Monday's game against the Kansas City Royals. The employee may have to turn in her award as the pitch never got to the plate, but instead struck a cameraman off to the side.

 

Phillies' Herrera Placed On Administrative Leave

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Odubel Herrera has been placed on administrative leave by Major League Baseball after he was arrested on domestic violence charges at an Atlantic City casino on Monday night. Police saw visible signs of injury to a woman, who identified herself as Herrera’s girlfriend.


Twins' Pineda On IL

The Minnesota Twins have put pitcher Michael Pineda on the 10-day injured list with right knee tendinitis. The Twins have called up Devin Smeltzer to take his place in the rotation.
