Busy Day For New York Mets Doctor

It was a busy day for the New York Mets’ doctor during Thursday’s loss to Washington. While chasing a pop fly, right fielder Michael Conforto and second baseman Robinson Cano collided. Conforto sustained a concussion and won’t accompany the team to Miami this weekend. Mets left fielder Jeff McNeil had already left earlier in the game with abdominal tightness.


Twins Designate Reed For Assignment

The Minnesota Twins have designated reliever Addison Reed for assignment. Reed had been ineffective while rehabbing in Triple-A following a sprained thumb on his non-throwing hand.


Rays Acquire Erik Katz

The Tampa Bay Rays have acquired catcher Erik Kratz and cash from the San Francisco Giants. In return, the Giants will get a player to be named or cash considerations.
