NEOGA -- Despite Altamont High School running out to a 4-0 lead, Neoga came back and eventually edged ahead for a 7-6 baseball victory Wednesday.
Neoga tied at 4-4 in the third but Altamont went up 6-4 in the top of the third. Neoga came right back with three in the bottom of that frame and that was it.
Neoga had six hits but Altamont committed five errors. Neoga was led by Chase Lanham with two singles and an RBI and JC Keller with a double and an RBI. Chase Banning finished with two RBI.
Altamont was led by Braidin Baucum with a home run and four RBI, Jacob Robbins with a solo home run, Kaden Eirhardt with a single, double and an RBI, Dawson Guerrettaz with a double and Jacob Hammer with two singles.

Brownstown/St. Elmo took a quick 2-0 lead then had a four-run second and fourth and a single run in the third to blank Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, 11-0 in five innings Wednesday.
The Eagles had six hits led by Bryton Pruett with a single, triple and two RBI and Nate Philpot with a single, double and two RBI.
Francisco Viramontes went 4.2 innings, allowing no runs on four hits, three walks and six strikeouts.
CHBC was led by Andy Weber with two singles.

Dieterich took a 1-0 first inning lead and claimed a 4-2 victory over North Clay/Clay City Wednesday.
The Movin' Maroons were outhit by NC/CC 7-5 but the visitors committed four errors. Cole Niebrugge led Dieterich with two singles and an RBI.
North Clay/Clay City was led by Harmon Clifton, Briar Repking, Holden Clifton and Peyton Koelm with a double each. Clifton and Repking had an RBI each.

Newton picked up a 3-1 victory over Robinson Wednesday.
The Eagles tallied a run in the second and pushed across two more runs in the third. The Eagles had seven hits led by Connor Bierman with a double and two RBI. Six other players had a single each.
Jarrett Tharp went four innings allowing two hits and striking out one for the win on the mound.
