Cardinals Place Reyes On 10-Day IL

St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Alex Reyes has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a broken pinkie in his non-throwing hand. Reyes broke his finger when he punched a wall in frustration after his last start for Triple-A Memphis.


Braves Acquire Blevins

The Atlanta Braves acquired left-hander Jerry Blevins from the Oakland Athletics for $1. Blevins signed a minor league deal with Oakland before the season and had a 1.69 ERA in seven games with Triple-A Las Vegas.


Nationals Place Zimmerman On IL

The Washington Nationals have placed starting first baseman Ryan Zimmerman on the 10-day injured list due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot.
