Pirates' Burdi Will Be Out Indefinitely

Pittsburgh Pirates reliever Nick Burdi has been diagnosed with a strained biceps tendon and flexor mass after he collapsed in pain on the mound during Monday night’s game against Arizona. Burdi underwent Tommy John surgery in May 2017 and will be out indefinitely, but the news is better than expected.


Reds Place Kemp On IL

The Cincinnati Reds have placed All-Star outfielder Matt Kemp on the 10-day injured list with a broken left rib. Kemp was hurt when he crashed into an outfield wall Sunday.


Indians' Carrasco Leaves Game

Cleveland Indians starter Carlos Carrasco left Tuesday night’s game against the Florida Marlins' with another injury. Carrasco was pulled after he bruised his left knee while covering first base. No word yet on his status.
