The New York Mets say an MRI on Jacob deGrom’s right elbow came back negative and that he’ll be ready to come off the 10-day IL on Friday for his next turn in the rotation.

Nathan Eovaldi Will Undergo Surgery

Boston Red Sox right-hander Nathan Eovaldi will undergo surgery to clean up his pitching elbow. Eovaldi will have the surgery today and is expected to be out four-to-six weeks.

Phillies' Harper Ejected

The Philadelphia Phillies’ Bryce Harper was ejected in the top of the fourth inning of last night’s 5-1 loss to the Mets. Harper was tossed for chirping from the bench after he struck out looking on a high fastball and charging back onto the field.

Yankees Release Gonzalez

The New York Yankees have released pitcher Gio González from his minor league contract. González was 2-1 with a 6.00 ERA in three starts with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and exercised his 48-hour demand to call him up or cut him.
