Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez was carted off the field Sunday after bruising his left knee while fouling off a pitch in a spring training game. X-rays came back negative, although his status for the Indians opener on Thursday at Minnesota is unknown.
The Indians have signed infielder Brad Miller to a contract. The Indians will start the season with infielders Jason Kipnis, Francisco Lindor and, possibly, Jose Ramirez on the injured list.
