Cardinals, Goldschmidt Finalizing Extension

The St. Louis Cardinals and All-Star first baseman Paul Goldschmidt are reportedly finalizing a five-year extension for $130 million. The deal will keep Goldschmidt with the Cardinals through the 2024 season.


Mariners' Suzuki Announces Retirement

The Seattle Mariners’ Ichiro Suzuki announced his retirement after playing in front of hometown fans in Tokyo Thursday night. The Mariners had guaranteed Suzuki a spot on the roster for just the two Tokyo games and, after a poor spring training, Suzuki said he decided before arriving last week to step away.


Rays, Snell Agree To Five-Year Deal

The Tampa Bay Rays and Cy Young winner Blake Snell have reportedly agreed to a five-year, $50 million contract extension. Snell was unhappy when he recently had his contract renewed for $573,700 and is likely a bit happier now.
