Cardinals, Mikolas Agree To Extension

The St. Louis Cardinals and pitcher Miles Mikolas have agreed on a four-year contract extension worth $68 million. The deal keeps Mikolas with the team through 2023.


Rockies, Arenado Agree To Deal

The Colorado Rockies and third baseman Nolan Arenado have agreed to a new eight-year, $260 million contract. It makes Arenado the highest-paid position player in baseball at $32.5 million per year, breaking Miguel Cabrera’s previous record of $31 million.


Mets' Frazier Sustains Strain

New York Mets third baseman Todd Frazier sustained a left oblique strain during batting practice this week and has gone back to New York to seek treatment. It’s not yet known if Frazier will be ready for Opening Day.
