Major League Baseball and its players are talking about rule changes. Among the proposed changes would be a three-batter minimum before a pitching change could be made, a single trade deadline set before the All-Star break, expanded rosters and bringing the DH rule to the National League.


Hellickson, Nationals Agree To Contract

Pitcher Jeremy Hellickson and the Washington Nationals have agreed to a $1.3 million, one-year contract. Hellickson could earn up to $4 million more in bonuses, based on the number of games he starts.


Roys, Boxberger Have One-Year Deal

The Kansas City Royals have agreed to a $2.2 million, one-year deal with reliever Brad Boxberger. Boxberger had a 4.89 ERA and 32 saves with the Diamondbacks last season.
