EHS' Zach Lee Signs w/Kentucky

Effingham High School senior Zach Lee has big goals. He's seen three other Effingham natives reach the major leagues as a pitcher recently and would like to be in that same company.
Toward that goal, Lee Wednesday signed a national letter of intent to pitch college baseball for the University of Kentucky. The son of Sean and Denise Lee, Zach plans to study Communications while working on refining his pitching skills.
Lee said he liked the campus and Wildcats Coach Nick Mingione. One goal is to help Kentucky to the College World Series.
Zach topped out at 94MPH during the sectionals last spring, but thinks there's room for improvement. Effingham Coach Chris Fleener said that kind of velocity is something special and he likes Zach's mechanics, too.
