Mets Promote Tebow To Triple-A

The New York Mets have promoted Tim Tebow to their Triple-A Syracuse team. Tebow had brought his batting average up to .340 in July before an injury cut his season short.

The New York Yankees have signed veteran catcher Ryan Lavarnway to a minor league deal with a spring training invitation. This comes after it was announced that starting catcher Gary Sanchez would undergo shoulder surgery. However, Sanchez is expected to be ready for spring training.

Jung Ho Kang, Pirates  Agree To Contract

Third baseman Jung Ho Kang and the Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed to a $3 million, one-year contract that keeps him with the team for another season. The deal also includes another $2.5 million in performance bonuses based on plate appearances.
