The Los Angeles Dodgers moved to within one game of the World Series by winning Game 5 of the National League Championship Series 5-2 over the Brewers Wednesday afternoon. The series now moves back to Milwaukee.

The Boston Red Sox also moved to within one game of the World Series by winning Game 4 of the ALCS 8-6 over the Astros Wednesday night.

There was a controversial call in the second inning when the Astros’ Jose Altuve launched a drive over the right field wall. However, Boston outfielder Mookie Betts appeared to have the catch lined up when he leaped above the wall and a fan made contact with his glove. Umpires ruled the play fan interference and called Altuve out.

Machad Fined $10,000

Major League Baseball has fined Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Manny Machad $10,000 for kicking the leg of Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Jesus Aguilar in Game 4 of the NLCS.
