Effingham and Altamont Lutheran Pick Up Victories

Effingham Junior High picked up a 9-3 Victory over cross town rival St. Anthony Thursday night. Effingham scored 9 runs with five hits and committed 1 error, while St. Anthony scored 3 runs on eight hits and had 3 errors in the game.

Effingham scored a run in the second, two in the third, another in the fifth and exploded for five runs in the sixth for their nine runs. St. Anthony put up single runs in the third, fourth, and seventh.

Donaldson piched the victory for Effingham, while Sehy took the loss for the Bullpups

Altamont Lutheran defeated Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 18-4. ALIS scored 18 runs on 6 hits and had no errors while CHBC scored 4 runs on 1 hit and committed nine errors. 

The Rockets scored a run in the first, seven runs in the second and third, and three more in the fourth. The Bobcats picked up all four of their runs in the fourth.

Nathan Stuemke pitch the victory for Altamont Lutheran while Rylee Fisher was given the loss.
