Schumacher Orthdontics Wins 11-12 Year Title

Schumacher Orthodontics edged Dairy Queen 9-8 to win the 11-12 Year-Old League Tournament at McDevitt Field Wednesday evening.

Dairy Queen took a 4-1 lead in the second inning but Schumacher tallied six in the third to move ahead 7-4. Dairy Queen regained the lead with four in the fourth. Schumacher then scored two runs in the fifth for the win.

Both teams had five hits. The winners were led by Gaige Gillum and Beau Adams with a double and an RBI each.

Dairy Queen was led by Justin Kollman with a single, double and three RBI and Brodie Belcher and Braxton Lewis with a double each.

In the third place contest, Arrow Pest Control downed NAPA, 8-5.

Arrow stepped out to a 4-0 first inning lead and held off some final inning challenges by NAPA.

Devin Kreke had a triple and an RBI for the winners while Henry Thompson added two singles and two RBI.

Brennen Goering and Landon Wallace had a double each for NAPA.
