After falling behind 3-0, Jasper Post #20 bounced back to capture the championship of the American Legion District Tournament 11-4 over Effingham Post #120 Monday night.
With Jasper Post undefeated in the double elimination tourney, Effingham knew they had to win a doubleheader to capture the championship. Jasper Post, though, took care of things in one contest.
Effingham Post #120 got two runners on to start the game as Brett Koester reached on an error and Bryson Wall was hit by a pitch. Jasper Post bounced back to retire the next two batters, but Ryan Sandifer homered for the early lead.
