Prep League Results -- July 13

Effingham Veterinary Clinic edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead in Prep League action at Evergreen Hollow Park Friday evening. The Teutopolis Warriors tied in the top of the sixth but the Vet Clinic came back with four in the bottom of the frame for the 5-1 victory.

Both teams had five hits. The winners were led by Brock Jansen and Evan Waymoth with two singles each. Jansen added an RBI.

Jackson Pals had a double and an RBI while Ben Goeckner had a single and double.

In the second contest, the Teutopolis Falcons took a huge early lead and never looked back in a 14-4 win over Mid-Illinois Concrete.

The Falcons banged out 10 hits led by Ben Goeckner with a single, triple and two RBI, Mitch Koester with a single, double and four RBI, Logan Fleener had three singles and an RBI.

Leading Mid-Illinois were Griffin Sehy and Conner Wines with a double each.
