SAN FRANCISCO -- Luke Weaver came up with a pitching gem as the St. Louis Cardinals romped over the San Francisco Giants, 11-2 Thursday at AT&T Park.
Weaver went eight innings, allowing only two hits and two runs. He didn't issue a walk and he struck out seven in the win.
Meanwhile the Cardinals got healthy offensively, banging out 18 hits in the contest that included three home runs.
Jedd Gyorko hit a three-run homer en route to a season-high five RBIs. He also had a single and double. Harrison Bader went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer in place of Dexter Fowler.
