Junior Babe Ruth -- June 27

Tri-Power Towing banged out 13 hits and handed Washington Savings Bank a 12-5 loss in Junior Babe Ruth League action at Paul Smith Field Wednesday.

Vonderheide led the way for the winners with two singles, a double and three RBI while Chandler added a single, double and two RBI. Schlanser and Barnes had two singles each.

Tri-Power took a 6-1 lead after two and tallied two more in the third, three in the fifth and one in the sixth.

In the second contest, Drs. Sehy & Jones Optometrists broke a 2-2 tie with a six-run third and went on for a 9-4 victory over Wohltman Construction.

Matteson led the winners in hitting with two singles and an RBI.

Niebrugge led Wohltman Construction with two singles and an RBI.
