Junior Varsity Baseball -- May 12

Effingham and Mattoon split junior varsity baseball contests Saturday.

The Hearts won the opener 5-4. EHS had 12 hits led by Wolfe with a single and triple, Cunningham with a single, double and two RBI, Lee with a double and an RBI and Loy with two singles and an RBI.

Mattoon claimed the second contest, 3-0. Effingham outhit the Green Wave 6-4.

Waymoth had a double for EHS while five other players had a single each.
