Dieterich, Neoga, Newton, N.C. Claim Baseball Wins

DIETERICH -- Dieterich High School played host to Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg and captured an 8-3 victory Monday in baseball action.
The Movin' Maroons took a 3-0 first inning lead but the Hatchets tied in the top of the third. Dieterich then had a three-run fourth and finished off with two in the sixth.
Both teams had four hits, all singles by Matthew Hunzinger, Bryce McClain with two RBI, Callaway Campton with two RBI and Cole Niebrugge.
Windsor/Stew-Stras also had four singles by Beau Bennett, Christian Kessler, Chase Thies and Isaac Kramer. Kessler, Thies and Kremer had an RBI each.
Paul Thoele was the winning pitcher, going all seven innings, allowing four hits, two walks and striking out 12.

At Altamont
Neoga outlasted Altamont in a big scoring contest Monday evening, 13-11.
Neoga held a 4-2 lead until the third when Altamont moved ahead 5-4. Neoga then had a four-run fourth and was never headed again.
Drew Ramert led Neoga in hitting with a single, two doubles and an RBI while Evan Fritcher knocked out a home run and had four RBI.
Altamont actually outhit Neoga by a 16-11 count. Kopplin had two doubles and three RBI while Vaughn added a single, double and an RBI and Whitt had a triple. Baucum, Biggs, Robbins, Teasley and Kuhlman had two singles each. Teasley had two RBI while Robbins and Biggs had one each.

Odin edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead and went on to beat South Central, 7-2 Monday.
Odin's Jourdan and Roberts combined for a one-hitter. Jourdan picked up the victory allowing seven walks but striking out nine.
Nix had a single, double and an RBI while Parrish had a double and two RBI for the winners.
South Central was led by Ryan McCown with a double and an RBI.

Flora took the 3-0 first inning lead but Newton came back to claim the win, 11-3.
The Eagles had a five-run third to move ahead and never looked back. Zumbahlen had a double and drove in three runs while Stark had a double and also had three RBI.

At Cisne
North Clay (Louisville) blanked Cisne 15-0 in five innings via the 10-run rule Monday.
The Cardinals had a 12-run third inning. Cisne did not get a hit against North Clay pitching. Jones was the winning pitcher going 1.2 innings, two walks and four strikeouts.
Blank had two singles, a home run and three RBI while R. Burkett had a double, home run and two RBI. Aldrich, had two doubles and two RBI and R. Bloemer a single, double and two RBI.
