Gardewine, Winkler Pitch in the Same Game

Both Nick Gardewine and Danny Winkler pitched in the game, the first time two Effingham natives played in the same major league baseball game.

Gardewine pitched the seventh inning for the Rangers, allowing a run on one hit and striking out a batter.

Winkler pitched the final two innings for the Braves, allowing one run on a hit and a walk, and striking out two.

The Rangers won the game, 12-6.
