T-town Blanks WSS in Baseball Opener

WINDSOR -- Teutopolis High School opened the fall baseball season by blanking Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 13-0 in five innings Monday.
The Wooden Shoes took a 4-0 first inning lead then tallied two in the second, one in the third and six in the fourth.
Goeckner had a big night offensively with three singles, a home run and three RBI. Jansen hit a home run and finished with three RBI. Hardiek had a double and two RBI. Kremer chipped in with two singles.
Kessler had the lone hit for the Hatchets with a single. The Hatchets drop to 2-1 on the season.
Dust and Schwerdt combined on the pitching mound. Dust picked up the win, going four innings, allowing one hit, one walk and striking out six. Schwerdt finished out the final inning with one walk and striking out three.
