Teutopolis 13U Wooden Shoes Complete Season

The Teutopolis 13U Wooden Shoes recenlty completed their 2017 baseball season.

The squad finished with a 19-13 record on a schedule that consisted of 35 games including eight doubleheaders and six tournaments. The majority of the competition was against 3A and Elite teams. This is the sixth season of traveling baseball made up of 11 boys from the Teutopolis School district.

Season highlights are first place at the Game Day Silver Series Tourney at Champaign; second place at Game Day National Championships at Westfield, Ind.; third place at Effingham Memorial Day tourney and third place at Altamont Inferno Tourney.

Members of the team were Luke Koester, Cade Buehnerkemper, Brendan Niebrugge, Mitch Althoff, Kyle Stewart, Kayden Althoff, Max Niebrugge, Joey Ruholl, Derek Konkel, Sam Bushur and Kaleb Bannick. Head coach was Chad Buehnerkemper with assistant coaches Al Konkel and Jason Ruholl. The team will be back in action next summer.
