TSKL Tournament -- July 12

Dan Hecht almost was the spoiler but top-seeded Heritage Builders came to life in the bottom of the fourth and pulled out a 16-10 win in Tomorrow's Stars Khoury League Tournament action Wednesday at Community Park.

Dan Hecht tied the score at 4-4 in the top of the second and was tied with Heritage at 8-8 in the top of the fourth. But Heritage put it together in the bottom of the frame, scoring seven runs behind two home runs. Wade Bushur had a three-run shot while Rylan Pals had a solo homer.

Bushur also had a double and four RBI while Pals had a triple and two RBI. Sam Link added a single, triple and an RBI while Colton Webb had two singles, a triple and four RBI. Tyler Sparks, Allyn Koester and Jack Connours had a double each. Sparks and Koester had an RBI each.

Dan Hecht was led by Cole Phillips with two doubles and three RBI, Henry Brent with a single, double and an RBI, Maddox Wiedman with a single, triple and an RBI, John Bredenkamp with a double and two RBI, Jack Poe with a double and an RBI and Hunter Holland with a triple and an RBI.

In the second game, Brown's Drug Store, seeded fifth, upset four-seeded Taylor Law Offices 7-4.

Brown's led 5-4 after two inningns then tacked on one in the third and one in the sixth. Blayzz Verdeyen threw a four-hitter.

Dakota Flaig had a double, triple and an RBI while Noah Flag and AJ Radloff had a single and double each. Radloff added an RBI. Carter Verdeyen had a double and triple and Zaid Rauf a double and three RBI.

Heritage Builders will now face Brown's Drug Store Monday at 7:30 p.m. following Tingley Insurance against Rotary at 5:30. The winners advance to the championship game Tuesday while the losers play for third place.
