Tomorrow's Stars Khoury League Tournament

Tingley Insurance, the No. 6 seed, claimed a 7-4 win over No. 3 seeded Scott Mosher Country Insurance Tuesday evening at Community Park in the Tomorrow's Stars Khoury League Tournament.

Tingley held a 1-0 first inning lead but the score was tied at 2-2 in the second. Tingley then pushed ahead with four runs in the third when Ben Roedl hit a three-run homer. Andrew Hall finished out the scoring with a solo shot in the sixth. Hall added a double. Maddux Clark had two doubles while Drake Brown had a single, double, triple and two RBI. Nathan Ohnesorge contributed a single, double and an RBI.

Ethan Jones had a triple for Mosher while Max Buzzard had a double and an RBI.

It was an evening of upsets as No. 7 Rotary edged Elks, seeded No.2, 6-5. Rotary took a 4-2 opening inning lead and tacked on two more in the third. Elks made a comeback bid with three in the fifth only to fall short.

Aiden Lauritzen had a single, triple and an RBI for the winners while Adam Flack had a triple and two RBI. Max Flack chipped in with two singles.

Brenan Goering had a single, triple, solo home run and finished with two RBI for Elks. Cannon Bockhorn added two singles.

Tingley Insurance will now face Rotary at 5:30 p.m. Monday for the right to advance to the championship game.

11-12 Year-Old League Tournament

Schumacher Orthodontics scored multiple runs in the first, third and fourth innings in beating Kingery Printing 16-9 in the 11-12 Year-Old League Tournament Tuesday at Community Park.

Schumacher took a 3 -1 first inning lead. Kingery came back with five runs to lead 5-4 in the second. But Schumacher tallied four in the third, eight in the fourth and finished out with one in the fifth.

Josh McDevitt had a single and banged out two home runs, a two-run shot in the third and a three-run blow in the fourth. He finished with six RBI. Spencer Fox had two doubles and an RBI while Nick Wiedman added a single and triple. Jackson Pals and Sean Mahaffey had a double each while Beau Adams had two singles and an RBI. Pals added an RBI.

Kingery was led by Keegan Hemrich and Noah Dill with a double each. Dill had an RBI. Elliot Frisbee had three singles and two RBI and Eli Carl two singles.

In the second game of the evening, Kemper CPA won on forfeit over Dairy Queen.

Schumacher Orthodontics will now face Kemper CPA at 5:30 p.m. Monday for the right to advance to the championship contest.
