Babe Ruth Prep League

Taylor Law handed Effingham Asphalt an 11-7 loss in Babe Ruth Prep League action at Evergreen Hollow Park Wednesday.

Effingham Asphalt pushed ahead 3-2 in the second and 5-3 in the third. Taylor Law came back with four runs in the fourth and four in the fifth for the victory.

John Perry had a triple and two RBI for the winners while Max Nelson had two singles.

Joe Matteson had a triple and two RBI and Jonathaon Zerrusen a double and two RBI for Asphalt.

Wohltman Construction blanked Washington Savings Bank 5-0 in Junior Babe Ruth League play at Paul Smith Field Wednesday.

Wohltman Construction tallied four runs in the second and finished off with one in the sixth. Kyle Pemberton threw a one-hitter for the win.

Trey Brummer had a double for the winners. Alex Ramert had the lone hit for Washington Savings Bank with a single.
