Teutopolis Post 924 came back from a 14-inning loss in the Mattoon Firecracker Tournament to take revenge Tuesday evening.

T-town downed Effingham, 8-5 after Post 120 had claimed the 14-inning affair. T-town scored seven runs in the first two innings and held off a late inning rally by Effingham to claim the victory.

Colin Funneman earned the win and Ethan Dust saved the game for Teutopolis.

Brett Koester had a single, double and scored a run for Effingham. Bryar Jansen contributed two singles while Austin Kline, Cody Grove and Colin Koester also recorded hits for Post 120. Colin Funneman led the hitting attack for Post 120 with three hits.

Post 120 will be back in action Friday hosting Mount Vernon at Paul Smith Field. The doubleheader was originally scheduled to be played tonight but has been moved to Friday. Post 120 will have a much deserved day off after completing six games in the past four days, including the 14-inning game Sunday.
