Babe Ruth Prep League -- June 22

Teutopolis Jaguars pounded out 11 hits and took a 15-4 win over Effingham Asphalt in Babe Ruth Prep League play Thursday at Evergreen Hollow Park.

The Jaguars took a 5-2 lead in the second inning then had a two-run third and fourth and finished out with six in the fifth.

Derek Niemerg threw a three-hitter for the win. Jack Beckman had the lone extra base hit for T-town with a double. Caden Hoene had two singles and three RBI and Derek Niemerg two singles and two RBI.

Effingham Asphalt was led by Colton Frauli with a double and an RBI.

In the second contest, Taylor Law Offices was a 9-4 winner over Teutopolis Warriors.

Taylor Law never trailed, taking a 1-0 first inning lead and lead 5-4 going into the bottom of the fourth. Taylor Law then brought home two runs and tacked on two more in the fifth.

Ryan Smith had two doubles and an RBI for the winners while Max Hardiek had a single, doublel and two RBI and Max Nelson two singles.

Tegeler and Schmidt had a single each for the Warriors.
