Washington Savings Bank blanked Wohltman Construction 7-0 in the first game of Junior Babe Ruth League play at Paul Smith Field Monday.
Washington Savings took the early first inning lead 2-0. The winners had seven hits led by Cameron Kalber with two singles.
Jackson Lee led Wohltman Construction with two singles.
In the second contest, Tri-Power Towing and Drs. Sehy & Jones Optometrists played to an 8-8 tie due to the time limit.
The score was tied at 3-3 after two innings and at 4-4 after four. Both teams tallied two runs in the fifth and both scored two in the seventh.
Tri-Power had seven hits led by Andy Niebrugge with two singles, a double and an RBI and Cooper Bridges with a double and an RBI.
Dylan Overbeck had three singles and an RBI for Drs. Sehy & Jones while Carson Utz had a double and an RBI.
