Shelby County Junior Legion Drops Three Games

Odin Junior Legion stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead over Shelby County Junior Legion Posts 289-611-725 and went on for a 5-1 victory in action Saturday.

Caleb Jourdan picked up the pitching win, going all seven innings, allowing five hits, one walk and striking out 10.

Odin was led by Jourdan with a double and an RBI and Gabe White and Lane Bond with two singles and an RBI each.

Kentrell Beck had a single, double and an RBI for Shelby County.

In Friday play, Toledo Post 764 beat Shelby County 5-1. Toledo took a 1-0 first inning lead then added on two in the fourth and two in the sixth.

Layne Andrews led Toledo with three singles, a double and three RBI while Jimmy Woods had a double and an RBI.

Colton Reed had two singles for Shelby County.

Shelby County lost to Rantoul 287, 5-1. Rantoul tallied one in the second and two in the fourth and fifth innings.

Shelby County had three hits, singles by Dalton McGill, Aaron Kirby and Trenton Moore.
