Babe Ruth Prep League -- June 6

Effingham Asphalt pounded out 13 hits and brought home 14 runs in a 14-5 win over Dieterich in Babe Ruth Prep League action at Evergreen Hollow Park Tuesday.

Asphalt took a 4-0 first inning lead, had a four-run second and a six-run fourth.

Jonathon Zerrusen had the lone extra base hit with a double and also had a single and two RBI for the winners. Jett Volpi had two singles and an RBI, Brody Beals two singles and three RBI, George Scheidemantel two singles and two RBI and Colton Frauli two singles and two RBI. Eli Link was the winning pitcher on a two-hitter.

Dalton Budde and Noah Dill had a single each for Dieterich. Budde also had an RBI.

In the second game, Taylor Law Offices downed Mid-Illinois Concrete 8-4. The two teams were locked in a 2-2 first inning tie before Taylor Law tallied five in the third and went on for the victory.

Taylor Law had five hits, all singles, by John Perry, Will O'Dell, Kaden Pemberton, Luke Romack and Max Nelson. O'Dell, Romack and Nelson had an RBI each.

Tyler Budde led Mid-Illinois with a single, double and two RBI.
