Bulldogs Blank Indians In Five Innings

Effingham St. Anthony High School handed Altamont a 10-0 loss in five innings of baseball competition Monday.
The Bulldogs held a 1-0 lead in the second, tacked on three in the third, two in the fourth and finished the game with four in the fifth.
St. Anthony banged out 13 hits led by Bryar Jansen with three doubles and two RBI, Adam Levitt with a single, two doubles and three RBI, Drew Gibson with two singles and Ethan Greene and Blake Niebrugge with a double and an RBI each.
Altamont had three hits led by Whitt, Biggs and Robbins with a single each.
Levitt picked up the pitching win, going all five innings, allowing three hits, one walk and striking out five.
