WSS, BSE, T-town, Dieterich, N. Clay Nab Baseball Wins

ALTAMONT -- Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg started out strong in a 13-7 baseball victory over Altamont Tuesday.
The Hatchets took a 6-1 opening inning lead and led 10-4 after two. WSS had 10 hits in the contest led by Derek Moshenrose with two singles, a triple and an RBI while Isaac Kramer added a single, double and three RBI and Nic Hutchinson two singles and three RBI.
Altamont was led by Kaleb Whitt with four singles and two RBI. Dylan Miller added two singles and an RBI.
Hutchinson was the winning pitcher on a five-hitter with seven walks and five strikeouts.

At Brownstown
Brownstown/St. Elmo picked up a 13-9 victory over Cumberland Tuesday.
The Pirates edged out to a 3-2 opening inning lead and led 9-7 after three innings. BSE came back with a run in the fourth then tallied five in the sixth to pull out the victory.
BSE had 11 hits led by Nate Philpot with a single and two doubles, Lewis Brown with two singles, a double and four RBI, Dalton Denton with a double and an RBI, Jeffrey Kelly with a double and Bryton Pruett with two singles.
BSE is now 8-10 on the season.
Cumberland was led by Kanizer with two singles and two triples and Grissom with a single and a double.

Teutopolis edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead on Newton then tallied three more in the third. Newton pulled within 4-2 in the top of the fifth but the Wooden Shoes tallied two in the bottom of the frame for the 6-3 victory.
T-town had seven hits led by Brant Bueker with a home run and two RBI and Kremer with a double and an RBI. The Shoes improve to 15-6.
Newton outhit the Shoes with 11. Bierman had two singles, a double and an RBI while Meinhart added two singles. The Eagles fell to 9-6.

Dieterich came back with a three-run bottom of the seventh to pull out a 5-4 victory over Casey-Westfield Tuesday.
The two teams were tied at 1-1 after the fifth inning. The Warriors then pushed ahead 4-2 in the sixth. But the Movin' Maroons came back to claim the win.
Goede and P. Thoele had two singles each. Niebrugge had a single and drove in three runs.
C. Thoele picked up the pitching win, going 1.1 innings, allowing two hits, no walks and striking out two.
At Dieterich

North Clay (Louisville) easily handled Woodlawn in five innings, 18-0 Tuesday.
The Cardinals led 6-0 after the first inning and never looked back. Bloemer had two singles, a double and drove in four runs for the Cardinals. Jones added two singles and four RBI. Blank had a single and three RBI while Repking and Aldrich had a single and two RBI each.
Bloemer was the winning pitcher, going three innings, allowing three hits, two walks and striking out seven.

Both teams had lots of hits and both teams scored lots of runs but Arcola eventually pulled out a 16-10 win over Neoga Tuesday.
Neoga held a 6-2 opening inning lead but Arcola came back in the second with 10 runs.
Yurs had two singles, a home run and an RBI for Neoga while Hill added three singles and an RBI. Butler and Andrews had two singles each. Butler had an RBI.
Neoga drops to 5-11 on the seaosn.
