Altamont, North Clay, South Central Take Baseball Wins

Altamont High School broke a 1-1 tie with a four-run fifth and went on to beat Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick 5-1 in baseball action Wednesday.

The Indians had seven hits in the contest led by Jacob Robbins with a single, double and an RBI. Kaleb Whitt and Jake Finn had a double each. Whitt brought home two runs. Dawson Guerrettaz had two singles and an RBI.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City was led by Doty with two singles.

At Beecher City

At Brownstown

North Clay (Louisville) came calling and picked up a 7-1 win over Brownstown/St. Elmo.

The Cardinals took a 3-1 lead in the fourth inning then tallied four more in the seventh.

Bloemer had a single and double for the winners. Both teams had six hits.

BSE was led by Dalton Denton with two singles and an RBI and Landon Feezel with a triple. BSE dropped to 6-9 on the season.

At Brownstown

At Odin

South Central stepped out to a 2-0 first inning lead and went on for a 7-4 victory over Odin.

The Cougars had seven hits and were aided by four Odin errors. Geiler had a single, double and an RBI while Blomberg had two singles and two RBI.

Herrin and Belcher led Odin with a double and an RBI each.

Matheny and Markley combined for the five-hitter. Matheny allowed four runs, three walks and struck out four in the win.

At Kinmundy
