St. A Takes Two Saturday, TT Wins Friday

Effingham St. Anthony High School captured two victories in Saturday baseball action over Putnam County.
The Bulldogs won 10-0 in the opener then took a 6-0 victory in the second game.
In the opener, Bryar Jansen hit a home run and had four RBI while Drew Gibson added a single, double and an RBI and Adam Levitt a double for the Bulldogs.
In the second game, Bryson Wall threw 93 pitches, allowing two hits and striking out eight in seven innings for the win. Blake Niebrugge hit a two-run homer in the sixth.
In Friday action, Teutopolis played host to the Bulldogs and picked up a 7-4 victory.
The Wooden Shoes had 10 hits in the game led by Brock Bueker with a double, home run and three RBI, Carson Hartke with two singles and an RBI, Dylan Bloemer with a single, double and an RBI and Lee Hardiek with a triple and an RBI.
St. Anthony had four hits led by Joseph Kabbes with a home run and three RBI and Ethan Greene with two singles and an RBI.

South Central won the National Trail Conference contest 4-3.
Neoga blanked South Central 9-0 in the non-conference game. Hill had a home run and two RBI for the winners while Ramert added two singles.
