Effingham Junior High School saw its season come to a close in its own Class 3A Baseball Regional Monday evening.
Charleston blanked the Mustangs 5-0 for the regional championship. Charleston's Landruss threw a one-hitter with one walk and 16 strikeouts.
Effingham's lone hit came from Lee with a single. The Mustangs end the season with an 11-7 record.

At St. Anthony
Effingham St. Anthony and Dieterich played to a 6-6 tie before the contest was suspended Monday in the championship game of the Class 1A St. Anthony Regional.
The game will be continued today.
At Sigel
Sigel St. Michael fell in the first game of the evening at its own Class 1A Regional Monday.
The Sharpshooters dropped the loss to Findlay Okaw Valley 6-0 to end the season.
In the second contest, Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor handed Neoga an 8-3 loss. SSW led 1-0 in the second and 3-0 in the third. Neoga came back with a single run in the fifth but SSW went out with a run in the sixth and four in the seventh.
SSW had three hits by Wernsing, S. Vonderheide and Kasey. Vonderheide and Kasey had two RBI and Wernsing one.
Johnson led Neoga with two hits.
Stew-Stras/Windsor will take on Findlay Okaw Valley at 4:30 p.m. today for the championship.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis easily handled Altamont in the Class 2A T-town Regional, 13-3.
The Shoes led 2-0 after the first and 7-0 after the second. T-town had seven hits led by Addis with a single, home run and two RBI and Bushur with a double, home run and two RBI.
Ruholl went three innings, allowing no hits, no walks and striking out five for the win. Bushur came on to throw the final three innings, allowing four hits, no walks and striking out three.
Altamont was led by Cripe with a double and Abendroth with two singles and three RBI.
Tonight's game will feature North Clay (Louisville) against Brownstown/St. Elmo at 4:30 p.m. The winner advances to meet Teutopolis Wednesday for the championship.

Cumberland advanced in the Class 2A Shelbyville Moulton Regional with a victory Monday.
Cumberland handed Casey-Westfield a 5-1 loss.
Today's game will feature Sullivan against Shelbyville Moulton. The winner advances to face Cumberland for the championship Wednesday.
