Ttown, CHBC Win, SEB Drops Baseball Loss

DIETERICH -- Teutopolis High School blanked Dieterich 6-0 in baseball action Thursday.

The Wooden Shoes had a five-run third and tallied its final run in the sixth.  Collin Funneman moved his pitching record to 2-0 with a one-hitter over three innings.

Brant Bueker had a double while Cody Jansen had two singles. Lane Belleville had a single and two RBI.

Dieterich's three hits were singles by Matt Goedde, Callaway Campton and Cole Niebrugge.

The Wooden Shoes are now 13-0 on the season while Dieterich dropped to 4-4.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City pounded Ramsey 15-5 in five innings with the 10-run rule coming into effect.

CHBC held a 2-0 first inning lead then finished out with a seven-run fifth. Grove had a single, double, triple and an RBI for the winners. Doty had two singles and three RBI, Kirchhofer two singles and four RBI, Stoldt two singles and two RBI and Miller two singles and an RBI.

Grove picked up the pitching win on a seven-hitter with four walks and 10 strikeouts.

Brownstown/St. Elmo took a 2-0 first inning lead but that was all the scoring as Wayne City came back to tie the score then push across two more runs for a 4-2 win.

BSE outhit Wayne City 8-5. Philpot had three singles while Himes had two singles and two RBI.

BSE drops to 2-5 on the season.
