SULLIVAN -- Effingham St. Anthony pounded host Sullivan 14-1 in five innings of junior high baseball Wednesday.

The Bullpups stepped out to a 9-0 first inning lead. St. Anthony had 13 hits in the contest led by Niebrugge with three snigles and an RBI, Walsh with two singles and Moore with a single and three RBI.

Reardon threw a four-hitter with two walks and eight strikeouts.

At Effingham

Effingham Junior High School edged Teutopolis 4-3 in B action Wednesday.

EJHS tallied all four runs in the third. T-town scored all three of its runs in the fifth.

Volpi had two singles for the Mustangs while Bannick had two singles for T-town. EJHS is now 5-1 on the season.

Teutopolis captured a 4-0 win over Greenville in A game action. T-town tallied one in the second, two in the third and one in the sixth.

The Shoes were led in hitting by Addis with a solo home run. Deters pitched a two-hitter with one walk and seven strikeouts.
