COWDEN -- Effingham St. Anthony stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and went on to beat Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 10-0 in six innings Tuesday.
The Bulldogs had 10 hits in the contest led by Greg Utz with a home run and three RBI, Joseph Kabbes with a single, double and two RBI, Ethan Green with two singles, Drew Gibson with two singles and an RBI and Bryar Jansen with a double.
Adam Levitt threw a two-hitter with three walks and a whopping 14 strikeouts.
CHBC was led by Grove and Doty with a single each.

Teutopolis handed Wayne City a 17-0 loss in five innings via the 10-run rule Tuesday.
The Wooden Shoes matched their run total with 17 hits. Lane Belleville had a double, home run and five RBI while Drew Thoele had a double, triple and an RBI, Dylan Bloemer a single, double and an RBI, Brock Bueker with a triple and an RBI and Cody Jansen with a single, double and an RBI. Carson Hartke added a triple and an RBI.
Conner Mette pitched a one-hitter with two walks and eight strikeouts.
The Shoes are now 12-0 on the season while Wayne City drops to 2-1. T-town is back in action Thursday at Dieterich in a 4:30 p.m. contest.

Neoga had a seven-run first inning then had to hold on for a 9-7 victory over Brownstown/St. Elmo.
Caleb Hill was the winning pitcher. Drew Ramert had a single, home run and one RBI while Hill added a double and two RBI. Justin Yurs had a double and an RBI, Evan Fritcher a single, double and an RBI and Clayton Butler two singles and an RBI.
BSE was led by Nate Philpot with two singles and an RBI, Rocky Himes with two singles, Dalton Denton with two singles and an RBI and Hunter Strauch with three singles. BSE drops to 1-4 in the National Trail Conference, 2-4 overall.
