T-town Takes DH, WSS Edges Mulberry Grove

TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis High School blanked Granville Putnam County not only once but twice in baseball action Saturday.

In the opener, the Wooden Shoes took an 11-0 win in five innings via the 10-run rule.

T-town's Hardiek pitched a no-hitter with one walk and nine strikeouts. T-town had nine hits led by Belleville with a single, triple and three RBI, Kremer with a double and three RBI, Jansen with a double and an RBI and Brant Bueker with a double.

In the second game, T-town blanked Granville Putnam County 9-0. T-town banged out 10 hits in the game led by Weber with a single, two doubles and two RBI, Thoele with a double, triple and two RBI, Goeckner with two singles and a triple and Dust with a double and an RBI.

Belleville went four innings to pick up the win on a one-hitter with two walks and three strikeouts. Weber came on to throw three innings allowing three hits, one walk and striking out four.

At Windsor

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg edged Mulberry Grove 6-5, scoring the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

Mulberry Grove led 1-0 in the second and 5-0 in the third. The Hatchets came back with two runs in the fourth and tied the game in the bottom of the sixth then tallied the winning run in the seventh.

Derek Moschenrose had a single, double and drove in three runs while Josh Overbeck had two singles and two RBI and Isaac Kramer a double.
