Effingham St. Anthony Junior High School picked up a 10-6 victory over Neoga in baseball competition Thursday.
The Bullpups took a 2-0 first inning lead. Neoga came back to lead 3-2 in the top of the second but St. Anthony tied in the bottom of the frame. Both teams scored a run in the third. St. Anthony then had a three-run fifth and finished out with a three-run sixth.
Neoga was led in hitting by Reece Johnson with three singles and a double.

Effingham traveled to Charleston and fell to the homestanders, 4-0.
Charleston tallied two in the second and two in the third. Landruss pitched a one-hitter for the win.
Effingham's lone hit was a single by Latch. EJHS is now 5-3 on the season.

Altamont stepped out to a 2-0 lead on Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and went on to end the game in the fifth, 13-0.

North Clay (Louisville) edged Sigel St. Michael 7-6. North Clay held a 3-1 lead in the first inning but St. Michael tied in the second. The score was knotted at 4-4 after four innings before St. Michael moved ahead 6-5 in the fifth. North Clay tallied the tying and winning runs in the sixth.
Weidner had four singles and three RBI for the winners while Bible added two singles.
The Sharpshooters were led by Niebrugge, Fearday and Walk with two singles each. Niebrugge and Fearday had an RBI each.
